Richard Chopping
Richard, better known as Chops, is currently the acting Director for Mineral and Energy Resources at the Geological Survey of Western Australia. Richard is a geophysicist with a background in computer science, and has utilised a variety of geophysical techniques to investigate everything from archaeology to the lithosphere of the Australian Continent. Richard has experience in the resources industry, and also has been employed by Geoscience Australia, CSIRO and also the Geological Survey of Western Australia in roles to understand the prospectivity of the Australian continent for energy, water and also mineral resources.
