Ludmila Adam
Ludmila Adam is a geophysicist specializing in rock physics. Hailing from Venezuela, she worked in the petroleum industry, before going to graduate school at the Colorado School of Mines. Her research career started in petroleum reservoirs and has since expanded into geological sequestration of CO2, geothermal energy, geologic hazards, and planetary geophysics. Rock physics is everywhere! She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of the Environment at the University of Auckland. In addition to her research, she is also passionate about outreach and education and co-leads New Zealand's Rū Network of Seismometers in Schools.
