Laura Jackson
Dr Laura Jackson is an environmental geologist specialised in applied geochemistry and geometallurgy, with experience performing geochemical and mineralogical characterisation on a range of mine waste and drill core materials. Dr Laura Jackson is focussed on integrated waste characterisation across the entire mining value chain to enable the use of new techniques and technologies for early life-of-mine geoenvironmental forecasting. Dr Laura Jackson has developed new tests and protocols for improving waste characterisation. Previously, Dr Laura Jackson has been working with a consultancy on a range of industry and government projects from prefeasibility through to closure and rehabilitation. Currently Dr Laura Jackson is the deputy leader of the Mine Waste Transformation through Characterisation (MiWatCh) group focusing on secondary prospectively of mine waste with a focus on critical mineral exploration.
