Jarred C Lloyd
Research geologist with skills in radiometric geochronology, stratigraphy, sedimentology, tectonics, and geochemistry.
I completed my Bachelor of Science (Honours) at the University of Adelaide in 2014 and in 2018 I returned to undertake a PhD in Earth Sciences, being awarded the degree in 2022. My PhD research was on the detrital zircon provenance, stratigraphy, and palaeogeographic and tectonic evolution of the Neoproterozoic portion of the Adelaide Superbasin, South Australia. My current postdoctoral research is investigating the application of novel in-situ geochronology on LCT pegmatites, and their mineral chemistry and spectral characteristics.
I'm an advocate of open science, environmentally and socially responsible practices, consideration of accessibility, and equality. I also have keen interests in data management and visualisation, statistics, coding (Julia, R, Visual Basic for Applications), and photography.
