Mehdi Dr Tork Qashqai
Mehdi is a research scientist and seismologist at the CSIRO Deep Earth Imaging Future Science Platform (DEI FSP). His main research is focused on the development and application of new passive seismic imaging and monitoring techniques. He has bachelor's degree in physics and master's degree in geophysics. He received his PhD in geophysics from the Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. His doctoral research focused on the development and application of probabilistic joint inversion of multiple geophysical datasets for seismic and thermochemical structures of the lithosphere. Prior to his doctoral study, he was working as a seismic imaging and team leader geophysicist in the oil and gas exploration industry for 6 years to deliver processing, imaging, and quantitative interpretation of reflection seismic data.
